World’s first 100% plastic free spirits bottle created by Diageo

Diageo spirits, the world's largest spirits, and beer manufacturer developed the world’s first-ever 100% plastic-free paper-based spirits bottle. Which is entirely made from sustainably sourced wood. The bottle will be launched and debut with its product Johnnie Walker, the world’s number one Scotch Whisky, in early 2021.

Diageo spirits, the world’s largest spirits, and beer manufacturer developed the world’s first-ever 100% plastic-free paper-based spirits bottle. Which is entirely made from sustainably sourced wood. and the company decides to launch the bottle, and debut with its product Johnnie Walker, the world’s number one Scotch Whisky, in early 2021.

However, the packaging material is developed by Pulpex Limited. It is created through a new partnership with Pilot Lite. A venture management company, to launch ‘Pulpex Limited’, a new world-leading sustainable packaging technology company. However, to ensure that the technology can be used in every area of life in FMCG industries, Pulpex Limited has established a partnership with world-leading FMCG companies in non-competing categories including Unilever, and PepsiCo.

Further partners expected to be announced later in the year. The partners are each expecting to launch their own branded paper bottles. Packaging based on Pulpex Limited’s design and technology, in 2021.

The bottle is made of organic pulp that meets food-safe standards requirements and is completely recyclable in normal waste streams. Pulpex Limited has produced a reusable paper-based bottle ‘first-of-its-kind’ engineered. And also built to be 100 percent plastic-free. and intended to be completely recyclable. The technology would allow brands to reconsider their packaging designs, or transfer new designs onto paper while at the same time not sacrificing the same product quality.
